The Veterans Resource Team has access to a career counselor located in the McCarl Center for Nontraditional Student Success. Veterans and military affiliated students can make an employment counseling appointment with College of General Studies Career Consultant, Carol Balk. You also can utilize Handshake to make appointments with Carol and search for upcoming job/internship opportunities. Additionally, a job search engine, powered by RecruitMilitary in partnership with our Veterans Alumni Council, is also available.
Outside of resources available through the University of Pittsburgh, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry has developed a straightforward job posting Web site. PA CareerLink offers services to help veterans discover what civilian occupations best align with previous military skills and experience.
